WELCOME

Our laboratory focuses on both fundamental and more immediately translatable research in blood vessel, vocal fold, and bone regeneration. In terms of fundamental studies, we seek to gain an understanding of the impact of external stimuli on cell behavior at a more fundamental level so that we can rationally guide tissue regeneration. Vocal fold tissue and cardiovascular tissues are used as model systems for probing cell response to controlled external stimuli. Our translation-focused research involves capillary network formation and ligament tissue engineering.
